Dance Studio Receptionist & Shop Sales Assistant

We’re looking for either one or two people to join our administrative team as dance studio receptionists. The position involves being the first point of contact to greet customers and give them a warm welcome to the studio.  

Details of the position:

 

Days: Monday – Friday (3:30 – 7:30) & Saturdays (8:30 – 3:30)
Location: DN Studios, 9b South Gyle Crescent
Starting: ASAP
Essential Skills:
  • Professional and reliable with excellent time keeping.
  • Naturally warm and personable character.
  • Well presented with good communication skills.
  • Great manner with kids of all ages and parents alike.
  • Proficient at social media, Instagram in particular 
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of dance and musical theatre is helpful but not essential
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (word, excel etc)
Essential Experience: None
Desired Experience:
  • Experience working in front of house settings
  • Experience working or training in the performing arts industry

Freelance Dance Teacher

Details of the position:

 

Days: TBC
Location: Various Locations Across Edinburgh
Starting: TBC
Essential Skills:
  • A professional dance and/or teaching qualification.
  • Great with younger kids and parents.
  • Naturally warm and personable character.
  • Ability to engage students and command authority in a class environment.
  • Professional and reliable with excellent time keeping.
  • Expertise in any given style across the diverse spectrum of dance styles (eg. Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Street, Commercial).
Desired Skills: Dance teaching qualifications (eg. DDE).
Essential Experience: 2 years experience teaching dance to kids and/or adults.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience teaching parent and child classes.
  • Professional dance experience (i.e. having worked as a professional dancer).
