Dance Classes for Children Age 5 & 6 yrs
We have a great selection of dance classes for kids aged 5 & 6 years in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Acro, and Contemporary. We also offer Musical Theatre classes through our sister company, Edinburgh Theatre School.
This is a fabulous age for dance as we start seeing physical development, which supports a more in-depth level of technical training, whilst students retain the youthful imagination and excitability of the early years of childhood.
Our signature combination class includes a section of Ballet, Tap and Modern dance. These three core styles provide foundations in dance technique that transfer into a broad range of styles.
We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus for Modern and Tap dance, and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) for Ballet.
Dance classes are a great and fun way to promote physical development, coordination, musicality and balance. Not to mention, an opportunity to meet new friends, stimulate creativity and have fun.
