Owner & Principal

Nicky grew up in West Yorkshire where she attended the Angela Reynolds School of Dance from the age of 3. She continued to study here throughout her childhood, taking examinations in both Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in all genres of dance.

At the age of 16, Nicky was offered a Scholarship place at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester, where she trained for 3 years as a professional performer  before graduating with a Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre as well as achieving her ISTD Teaching Qualifications.

Following graduation, Nicky travelled to many amazing places around the world, performing in musical theatre and cabaret shows. Nicky was lucky enough to embark on a number of cruises including Princess, Royal Caribbean and Costa Cruise lines before joining a UK tour on her return. The tour stopped off in Edinburgh and, after falling in love with the city, she never left! It's here that Nicky began to explore her passion for dance choreography and teaching before establishing Dynam-nic Dance in 2010.

She is very proud to have established Dynam-nic Dance and is excited about developing the school and enabling others to discover the joy of dance that she felt as a child and has now used as the basis for a successful career. Nicky continues to update and improve her teaching qualifications to ensure Dynam-nic Dance students receive the best possible quality training, support and encouragement.
